Create Transitions

Transitions are stylized effects used to dissolve from one clip to the next. You may create a transitional movie between two clips using directional variations of four effects. From the Project module you can call the transition wizard either by right clicking on the file in the movie list or clicking the transition button.

When transitioning into a selection, the last frame of the previous movie is used as the start frame of the transition and the first frame of the selected movie becomes the last frame of the transition. If the selection is the first clip a black screen is used as the first frame of the transition.

When transitioning out of a selection, the last frame of the selected movie is used as the start frame of the transition and the first frame of the next movie becomes the last frame of the transition. If the selection is the last clip a black screen is used as the last frame of the transition.

Select the effect, set the time, then click the Add Transition button. The new transition will be added to the movie list before (into) or after (out of) the selected clip.
